In naturopathy, the modern method of treating different diseases is combined with the traditional and conventional methods. The focus of naturopathy is self-healing, health optimization, and prevention from any health issue. It also focuses on treating the root of illnesses and diseases.

Also, naturopathic medicine educates people so that they can prevent themselves from diseases that consist of diet, exercise, and management of stress, etc.

At Evergreen Rehab and Wellness we have a licensed Naturopathic Doctor that can help you attain overall wellness. We offer a wide range of naturopathic modalities to help you with your health concerns using a natural approach as with vitamins, injections, and supplements.

What is Naturopathic Medicine?

Naturopathic medicine is a universal method that uses natural therapies for self-healing. This method of treatment is used since 1890 but during the last few years, its popularity has increased. According to naturopathic medicine, “nature is the most effective and reliable healer”. The diagnoses involve identifying the cause of the disease and treating it using natural therapy.

Naturopathy is working on the objective of educating a person to take care of his/her health and family and reducing the signs of any ailment. Also, to ensure that a specific disease is not faced in the future. The roots of naturopathic medicine are based on the impact of a healthy diet, sunlight, and exercise. Multiple therapies support naturopathy.

Principles of Naturopathic Medicine

Evergreen Rehab and Wellness Physiotherapy

First, do no harm
A naturopathic treatment plan uses the most natural, gentle, and effective therapies.

Identify and treat the cause
It aims to look beyond the symptoms and treat the root cause.

The Healing Power of Nature
The human body has the self-healing ability. A naturopathic Doctor helps to speed up or maximize the healing process.

Doctor as a Teacher
A Naturopathic Doctor will not only treat but will also educate the patients to achieve and maintain health.

Treat the Whole Person
Naturopathic Medicine practices a holistic approach wherein it will look at the whole person including the physical, psychological and spiritual dimensions.

Naturopathy focuses on attaining overall health, wellness, and prevention of diseases. Disease prevention is much cheaper and easier than to treat the disease.

Benefits of Naturopathy:

Naturopathic medicine has the following benefits:

Get Better Sleep: you can get better sleep with the natural treatments of naturopathy. If you are suffering from any issues of sleep, a naturopathic doctor can help you.

Alternate Treatment: naturopathic medicine is considered an alternative therapy as it can be applied with other treatment methods.

Reduces side effects: it heals the injuries, and boosts the power of the body, without any side effects on the body of the patients.

Individual attention: the naturopathic doctors observe an individual patient very closely for diagnosing and treating him accordingly.

Prevention tool: naturopathic medicine acts as a prevention tool against diseases. An effective approach to treatment is applied to the patient’s body to get a healthy immune system.

Educate patients: along with the treatment, this therapy also makes people aware of different diseases and ways to treat them. The doctors give the patients a healthy diet plan for preventing the disease in the future.

Naturopathy can help you in the following ways:

  • The flow of energy can be balanced with the medication of naturopathy like acupuncture (a traditional Chinese medicine technique)
  • It can help you to lose weight.
  • This treatment can help you to remove the diet that creates allergies in the patient’s body.
  • It can help you to reduce the side effects of the treatment.
  • It also improves your general health by choosing the right diet, supplements, and exercise.
  • The naturopathic doctor will guide you about the right supplements according to your health condition.
  • It helps you to manage weakness.
  • It will tell you that when you need to consult a naturopathic physician.
  • It supports your mental health ability.
  • The most important thing is that it educates you to treat the disease by yourself.

Pretty good RMT (registered massage therapy) experience. They do direct billing to 1 provider. Location can be a bit hard to find at first. Can park in the underground parking lot. When you walk back up the parking lot ramp, Evergreen is on the right past the 504 sign.

Suji Hong, the acupuncturist, is the best I’ve ever known. I had foot injuries that lasted for a couple of months, but after receiving three sessions of needle treatments from her, the pain is gone! She is very professional and caring, and she pinpoints the exact areas where I have issues. If you are looking for a trustworthy acupuncturist in town, I would highly recommend her :)

It's easy to feel that she is very knowledgeable, passionate and caring. Having an amazing experience with Sarah has led me to switch from other clinic that I have been taking physio to take physio sessions at Evergreen.
