Jonathan is an Interim Physiotherapist of Evergreen Rehab and Wellness – Coquitlam.
He obtained his Master of Physical Therapy degree and also his Bachelor of Kinesiology degree from the University of British Columbia.
Jonathan’s journey to becoming a physiotherapist was sparked by his love of sports growing up and inspired furthered by seeing physiotherapists’ impact on collegiate athletes of UBC’s Men’s Basketball team during his time as a student athletic trainer, and from his father’s own journey through cardiac rehabilitation. He now works alongside others to do the same by enabling them to reach their unique goals and empowers patients to reach their full potential through person-centred exercise programs and providing the tools to help them take control of their recovery.
Jonathan’s clinical interests are found in treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions from sports injuries, to post-operative rehabilitation and everyday injuries. Jonathan uses an active treatment approach to help patients get back to what they love to do by restoring movement in combination with utilizing soft tissue techniques and manual therapy.
Jonathan grew up in Maple Ridge and Coquitlam, and participated in many sports including soccer, badminton, ultimate, track and field, cross country, and stays active with his favourites, basketball and volleyball. In his free time, you can find him in multi-sport leagues, kayaking, watching Toronto Raptors games, and playing the drums.
