Selena Chung

Selena (Sae Un) is a medical Pilates instructor at Evergreen Rehab & Wellness – Coquitlam. From a young age, she has had a strong interest in health and a passion for helping others, nurturing her dream of becoming a healthcare professional through her involvement with a youth Red Cross organization.

She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Kyungpook National University and worked at a university hospital, where she was responsible for the recovery of patients with cardiovascular, orthopedic, and neurosurgical conditions. Seeking to expand her expertise, she obtained a Registered Professional Nurse license in the United States. During her studies, she faced the challenges of chronic autoimmune disease due to her weak physical constitution, which caused shoulder and back pain from pelvic imbalance, greatly impacting her daily life. As conventional treatments failed to improve her condition, she made the decision to change her health habits and transform her life through exercise.

She specialized in weight training and also worked as a fitness player through sponsorship contracts. She focuses primarily on correcting body alignment and relieving pain resulting from asymmetry caused by incorrect posture. Her specialization lies in medical Pilates, which not only facilitates functional rehabilitation but also helps prevent musculoskeletal disorders by restoring functional movements customized to individual body conditions and shapes, catering to members with various musculoskeletal and immune system issues. As a healthcare professional, she instills trust in her members by providing appropriate exercise and nutrition, and she dedicates significant effort to integrating their physical and mental well-being, supporting them in reclaiming vitality in their lives.

Beyond her work in the clinic, she finds joy in activities such as weight training, basketball, golf, and other sports. She also has a deep passion for acquiring new knowledge through attending various rehabilitation seminars.
