Plantar fasciitis is a condition typically causes a stabbing pain in the bottom of your foot. It is usually caused by inflammation on plantar fascia, the flat band of tissue (ligament) that connects your heel bone to your toes supporting the arch of foot. The possible causes are as follows: high arches or flat feet, excessive pronation of foot upon walking, shoes that doesn’t fit well, and tight Achilles tendon or calf muscles.
