Isabelle Cheng is a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) of Evergreen Rehab & Wellness Coquitlam. Isabelle Cheng is a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) who completed her 2800-hour practical training at Vancouver Career College in 2018. Before entering the massage therapy program, Isabelle completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of British Columbia.
Isabelle is particularly passionate in working with patients who are involved in motor vehicle accidents (MVA) because she too, has gone through several herself. Massage therapy gave her that comfort and pain relief she needed. She wants to make that difference for others. Not only did massage improve her physical state, but massage also restored her faith in returning to her activities of daily living. Even though this is one of Isabelle’s interests, she also welcomes anyone who is experiencing physical pain and discomfort in their daily lives to her practice. She is devoted to improving her patients’ general quality of life.
Through her practical clinic and outreach experiences, Isabelle has treated many different local and systemic conditions ranging from osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, sprains, strains, slipped disc, whiplash, plantar fasciitis, tendonitis, and many more. Depending on the patient’s best interest, Isabelle utilizes various massage techniques throughout her treatments such as relaxation and deep tissue massage, myofascial release (MFR), joint mobilizations, Swedish massage, trigger point release (TrP release), and active release.
For future education, Isabelle also is interested in learning fascial stretch therapy. She is always open to learning to further improve her knowledge and skillset for her patients.
In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, videography, photography, running, hiking, and attending the gym. Isabelle also loves meditating because she believes that taking care of her mental health is just as important as her physical health. Eventually, Isabelle aspires to either pursue counselling or osteopathy.
